The Antique Warehouse is one of Vancouver's leaders in the consignment of Antiques and Vintage Furnishings.  How do we know this?

We get not only the highest prices for furniture, but we turn over product quickly and with no hassle to the client.  


We have been in the business for over 23 years and have built up a reputation of honesty and trustworthiness.  Because of this reputation, we have a serious clientele of collectors, designers, film people, and people that simply love Antiques.  They know we have the best.


We also have one of the best venues in the city to properly display your piece.  We do not stack furniture and leave plenty of room in which the client can have a proper look at your piece.


We are professional and know our stuff.  If your peice is valuable we will tell you so.  There's no chance of under or overpricing your piece.  In this market pricing is everything.


And probably one of the more important aspects of 'consigning' furniture is there is no chance of triflers or undesirables ever showing up to your door.

The process of consigning with us is easy. 


1.  Send us your photo.  By email in small format please!  Nothing over 100K


2.  If we like what you have we will email or phone you directly  All inquiries are answered usually within the same day.


3.  We will not quote values over the phone or by email.  We need to see a piece in person to give an accurate estimate. 


4. If your piece warrants a visit from us, consider your piece marketable and special.  We have a very strict level of pieces that we will consign. 


An agreement on price is agreed upon by us and yourself.  Our commission is 50%. 


We arrange ( at the clients expense ) to have your piece brought in to the store.  If your piece requires any restoration (other than a quick dusting) we have people in house that can fix almost anything.  The client will be charge an hourly rate for this service.


Once your piece is ready for marketing. we photograph and  post it on our website in our  new arrivals, category.  This is sent out in an email to over 5,000 clients who are actively seeking out pieces daily. 


If after 90 days your piece has not sold, we call you and have a discussion and what you would like to do with your piece.  If after 6 months it has not sold, we ask you to remove it.


Anything left over a year after repeated attempts of trying to contact the owner, becomes the sole property of the Antique Warehouse.
